Here is the Second Portion of the Strategy guide
Snowman's Land
Snowman's Land is in the mirror room on the second floor. To enter, jump in the wall where there is no painting, but one is reflected in the mirror. You must have thirty stars to enter this course.
Star 1- Snowman's Big Head
This star is on top of the huge snowman occupying much of the course. Go to the place where the lumps of ice are sliding out and jump up above it. Follow the trail to the snowman's face. Hide behind the penguin to cross without being blown off. Then jump up on his head for the star.
Star 2- Chill with the Bully
Jump to the ice platform with the giant bomb on it and use jump-kicks to knock him off. The star then appears.
Star 3- In the Deep Freeze
Go to the giant cube with clear walls near the star. Find the passage to the top and then fall down to the star inside.
Star 4- Whirl from the Freezing Pond
Go to where the ice hills are sliding out and find the spin drifts in the water. Jump on one to clear the brick wall and find the star in one of the yellow cubes.
Star 5- Shell Shreddin' for Red Coins
Go to where star 4 is, but get the other yellow cube instead. Use the shell inside to slide around and get all the red coins.
Star 6- Into the Igloo
You must hit the blue switch to get this star. Get the shell as in star 5, but instead of collecting coins, slide up the ramp near the hole where the ice hills slide up from. Crawl into the igloo above the ramp. Find the vanish cap and use it to get the star right above the entrance.
Star 7- 100 Coins
Get all the coins you can in the level. Remember to kill all enemies and look in the igloo for coins.
Wet-Dry World
Wet-Dry World is on the second floor. It is easy to spot because it is not in a door. To enter, jump in the painting with the water bug on it. You must have thirty stars to enter.
Star 1- Shocking Arrow Lifts!
Bring the water level to the appropriate place by hitting the dial on the white block with the arrow on it near the staring platform. Swim over toward the corner of the level but stop when you are under the red brick platforms. Climb on the brown float near there and jump up to one of the arrow lifts. Use the lifts to reach the yellow cube with the star.
Star 2- Top o' the Town
Use the same water level as above, but this time go to the giant structure occupying most the course. Climb up to the place where the purple bomb is who tries to throw you off. Jump on the narrow platform and follow it to the block containing the star.
Star 3- Secrets in the Shallows & Sky
Touch all 5 secret points in the course. They are: The yellow block near the arrow lifts, pushing the crate near the arrow lifts, pushing the block in at the bottom of the main building, on the yellow box on top the mini-tower on the main building, and on the box at the top of the cage on the main building.
Star 4- Express Elevator--Hurry Up!
First, go to the bottom of the giant grate and break the box covering the hole. Then go to the top and step on the elevator. Beat it to the bottom, swim in the hole, and then get back on it while it's going back up. If you do this right, you will be at the star.
Star 5- Go to Town for Red Coins
Bring the water to the highest level and jump to the grate at the corner of town. Swim to the other side and collect all the red coins. Many are hiding in the brown crates.
Star 6- Quick Race Through Downtown!
Go to where you found star 5. Bring the water level down and get the vanish cap. Run inside the grate surrounding the small building. Use wall-jumps to reach the top where the star is.
Star 7- 100 Coins
Get all the coins you can here. Kill all the enemies and break all the block for coins. If you need more go to the second area where star 5
Tall, Tall Mountain
Tall, Tall Mountain is on the second floor. The painting is fairly easy to spot because it is not in a separate room. To enter, jump in the painting of the mushrooms. You must have thirty stars to enter.
Star 1- Scale the Mountain
Head up the mountain from the start. Use long jumps to clear the first two gaps. Continue the trail up the mountain. When you reach the moles, you can take a shortcut by using back-flips up the platforms with red coins on them. When you reach the top of the mountain, you should see the star.
Star 2- Mystery of the Monkey Cage
Go to where star 1 was. There should be a monkey there now. Catch the monkey and he will open the cage with the star. The star ends up far below, where the first monkey was.
Star 3- Scary 'Shrooms, Red Coins
Get all the red coins. Four are on the mushrooms near the start and four are on the ledges above the moles
Star 4- Mysterious Mountainside
Find the square of mountain that you can jump through. It is a little past the cloud that blows wind at you. Jump inside the square and ride the slide down. Make sure you take a right when you start to see arrows, or you will go off course. When you are done with the slide, go in the hole. You will be transported right near the star.
Star 5- Breathtaking View from Bridge
Go to the bridge where the monkey cage was. Look for the star in the waterfall. Jump to the ledge where it is.
Star 6- Blast to the Lonely Mushroom
Open the cannon by talking to the bom-omb below the edge of the ground where the first monkey is. Get to the cannon by long-jumping to the ledge from the mushroom where the red coin star is. Follow the path to the cannon. Aim for the mushroom with the star on it.
Star 7- 100 Coins
First, get all the coins you can on the slide (see star 4). After the slide, jump down instead of getting the star. Collect the rest of the coins on the mountain
Tiny-Huge Island
Tiny-Huge Island is on the second floor. It is in the room with an empty star on the door. The door is not in the place where the wall goes in. To enter, jump in either the painting on the left or the one on the right. You must have thirty stars to enter.
Star 1- Pluck the Piranha Flower
Enter the course as big Mario. Long jump to the island with the pipe in the middle. Jump in the pipe and walk around the island. Kill all the piranha plants that pop up. The last one destroyed reveals the star.
Star 2- The Tip Top of the Huge Island
Enter the course as small Mario. Go through the hole in the wall to start. You must follow the path up to the top of the mountain. When you get to the cliff, use long jumps to clear the gaps. Once on the top, get the star inside the yellow cube.
Star 3- Rematch with Koopa the Quick
Enter the course as small Mario. Go up the mountain as if you are getting star 1, but stop at Koopa. Talk to him and he challenges you to a race. Beat him to the flag pole and he gives you the star.
Star 4- Five Itty Bitty Secrets
Enter the course as big Mario. Touch all 5 secret points: 1. The hole in the wall at the beginning 2. The hole where the bowling balls roll out 3. The hole that the thin brown board leads to 4. The cannon hole 5. The very top of the mountain. The star appears on the solitary island. Step on the '!' switch near star 1 as big Mario to create a path to it.
Star 5- Wiggler's Red Coins
Talk to the red bom-omb. He appears near the cannon only where you're big Mario. Go in the cannon as little Mario and shoot up to the tree. From there, find the brown platform and follow it to the hole in the mountain. Get all the red coins inside that area for the star.
Star 6- Make Wiggler Squirm
Butt-stomp the very top of the mountain as big Mario. Return there as small Mario and fall in the hole. You will end up near the Wiggler. Beat him by butt-stomping him 3 times. He then gives you the star.
Star 7- 100 Coins
Collect 100 coins. As small Mario, butt-stomp the goomba for blue coins. As big Mario, destroy the koopa where koopa the quick was and as little Mario, destroy the koopa under the passage to star 5. They both give you blue coins
Tick Tock Clock
Tick Tock Clock in on the third floor. It is easy to find because it is not in a separate room. To enter, jump in the face of the grandfather clock. Depending on what time the clock is when you jump in, the parts will move faster or slower. If you jump in when the minute hand is at 12, then every thing will stop. Jumping in at 3, 6, and 9, will make everything move slow, medium, and fast, respectively. You must have seventy stars to reach the course.
Star 1- Roll Into the Cage
Jump in the clock when the minute hand is at 12. Make your way up the clock's innards until you reach the cage with the star in it. Use the wheel nearby to jump into the cage and get the star.
Star 2- The Pit and the Pendulums
Jump in when the hand is at 12. Work your way up the clock. When you get to the pole, climb up it and head toward the two yellow cubes. Keep going, and long-jump across the gap. You should be able to see the star. Go across the narrow platforms to reach it.
Star 3- Get a Hand
Enter the clock when the minute hand is at 3. Work you way up until you reach the first black ball that spits fire. Wait there until the moving hand comes and jump on it. Wait until it reaches the star and jump off and get it.
Star 4- Stomp on the Thwomp
When you enter Tick Tock Clock, make sure the minute hand is pointing to the 3. Follow the path up the clock. Right after you climb the pole with the electric thing circling around it, turn right and jump up to the ledge where the heart is. Use the platform moving up and down behind you to jump to the area above you with the rotating blocks. Jump off the blocks to the platform going left across the wall. You should reach three conveyor belts. Jump on them to reach the next stretch of platform. Keep following the path, ignoring the rotating bars to your right. You will reach two rotating bars soon like the ones you passed. Jump on them to continue. Go past the two triangle turning thing and wait there where the yellow cube and fire-spitting ball is until the arrow hand comes along. Jump on it and wait until it gets to the place in the wall where the conveyor belt is and jump off to there. The conveyor belt leads to the thwomp. Back flip onto the thwomp to get the star.
Star 5- Timed Jumps on Moving Bars
Find the box with the star in it near the platform above the first pole. Jump to the other side of the box and use the moving platforms to reach the star inside.
Star 6- Stop Time for Red Coins
Enter the clock when the minute hand is at 12. Go to the platform with the first fire-shooting ball and fall on to one of the brown lifts with the red coins on them. Collect 8 and the star appears near the start.
Star 7- 100 Coins
Get 100 coins in the course. Jump in the clock with the minute hand at 3. Many of the coins are in yellow boxes. Be sure not to forget the blue coin switch
Rainbow Ride
Rainbow Ride is on the third floor. It is located in the hole on the right wall. To get in, jump in the square gap in the floor. You must have fifty stars to reach this course.
Star 1- Cruiser Crossing the Rainbow
Make your way to the floating ship. To get there, take the carpet near the four spinning platforms. When you reach an intersection, jump on the left carpet. It takes you the rest of the way to the ship.
Star 2- The Big House in the Sky
Go like you're getting star 1, but when you reach the intersection, jump on the right carpet instead. This takes you up to the big house. Watch out for the fire in the house. When you ride through the house the second time, jump of the carpet before it reaches the fire and then back on. Once the ride is through, you will be at the top of the house, where the star is.
Star 3- Coins Amassed in a Maze
Go to the maze of red coins. To get there fast, long-jump to the pole right behind you at the beginning. Once there, collect all 8 red coins to make the star appear.
Star 4- Swingin' in the Breeze
Long-jump to the pole behind you at the start. Climb off the pole, and follow the path to the swinging platform. Keep going until you see the second swinging platform. The second one leads to the star.
Star 5- Tricky Triangles!
Go past the first swinging platform as in star 4, but head toward the island with the triangle lifts. Once there, jump on the '!' block to make the platforms climbable, and use them to reach the star.
Star 6- Somewhere over the Rainbow
First, talk to the bom-omb by wall-jumping near the blue coin box at the maze of red coins. After he opens the cannon, make your way to the it by going to the boat as in star 1. Find the cannon on the boat and shoot the the island with the star.
Star 7- 100 Coins
Collect 100 coins. Be sure to get the blue coin box near the red coin maze. The coins from it appear where the bom-omb is. To get there, wall-jump to the top as in star 6.
Secret Stars
Stars 1 & 2- The Princess's Secret Slide
Go to the room on the first floor with the three pictures of the princess. The door to the room has a star with a '1' on it. Once in the room, jump in the picture to the right. Slide down to the bottom to get star 1. For star 2, you must slide down in under 21 seconds. To do this, take all the turns on the inside.
Stars 3, 4, & 5- Talking to Toad
Go around the entire castle, talking to every toad. Three of the toads give you a star.
Star 6- Bowser's Red Coins 1
Go to Bowser level one and collect all the red coins. Most of them are easy to spot, except there is one behind the starting position and there is one on top the ledges near the end.
Star 7- Bowser's Red Coins 2
Go to the second Bowser level and collect all the red coins. They are all easy to spot.
Star 8- Bowser's Red Coins 3
Go to the last Bowser level and get all the red coins. Here are the locations of each coin. Coin 1- push the red block near the start so you can jump and get the coin above. Coin 2- on the corner right after the first spinning platform. Coin 3- on a ledge sticking out the platform under the first seesaw. Coin 4- at the top of the ledges you walk straight up. Coin 5- on the diamond-shaped block you see while riding the arrow platform. Coin 6- in the center of the spinning platform after the arrow platform drops you off. Coin 7- on the top of the pole between the yellow moving platforms. Coin 8- under the stairs leading to the pipe.
Star 9- Red Coins in the Wing Cap Tower
Go to the wing cap tower and get all the red coins. To do this, you must follow the trail of coins around the tower, getting the red coins as you go.
Star 10- Red Coins in Vanish Cap Under the Moat
Go to the Vanish cap switch course and get all the red coins. Four are on the ledges sticking out of the giant slope at the beginning.
Star 11- Red Coins in the Cavern of the Metal Cap
Go to the cavern of the metal cap and collect all eight red coins. Four are above the water and four are below.
Star 12- Wing Mario Over the Rainbow
Go to the third floor and go in the hole in the wall opposite of the entrance to course 15. Once in there, get all the red coins using the wing cap and the cannons.
Stars 13 & 14- Catch the Rabbit
Get star 13 by catching the rabbit in the castle sewers after you get 20 stars. After you get 50 stars, the rabbit comes back, and you can get star 14 from him.
Star 15- Red Coins in the Secret Aquarium
Go to the room on floor 1 with the entrance to course 3. Jump in the left hole in the wall to enter the aquarium. Swim around and collect all eight red coins.
